A big thank you to STYLE ME PRETTY for publishing Elizabeth & Jose’s Engagement!
Sometimes I meet a couple that I just fall in love with. Elizabeth and Jose would be one of those couples. Genuine. Loving. Caring. Funny. All kinds of beautiful – there is so much to love about this couple. Its an honor to be their Wedding Photographer. After talking with them and discovering their love of abstract art, I figured that we would take a risk and shoot at SF MOMA. There are so many precise lines and angles in a modern art museum – I was pretty scared of composition! However, Elizabeth and Jose were so relaxed and at home with each other that in time I soon left my worries behind – they were an absolute joy to photograph. So much in love. I simply had to watch and observe as Elizabeth looked into the eyes of Jose. He often picked her up and held her tightly. I listened as they told me the story of how they met just after Jose returned from serving in the United States Marine Core.
What an honor to photograph a man who had the courage to be a part of the platoon that lead the Desert Storm Invasion into Iraq – I for one am deeply grateful that you risked your life for the freedom I enjoy every day. You’re America’s finest…
After running around SF MOMA for an hour or so, we headed into the city to shoot near Cathedral Hill, China Town and along California Street in the Financial District. San Francisco is an iconic city. Add a couple in love and you have a recipe for images that simply melt the heart. In September we head to San Jose to capture their Wedding – I can hardly wait!
Straight from the Heart…x
