Menlo Park Wedding

A few months ago I (Jackie) had the chance to spend an evening with Suzanne and Ryan to chat about their upcoming Wedding in Menlo Park and hear the details and dreams that they had for their special day.  They were so warm and inviting, making me feel more like an old friend than a wedding vendor.  Jay and I love photographing clients that we sense a unique connection with, so you can imagine how happy I felt after spending a couple of hours getting to know this wonderful couple.   Both of us really anticipated this mid-fall Wedding and when September 21st rolled around we woke up excited and greeted by…..rain.  In fact, in all these years of shooting Weddings, I have never seen rain quite like it.   As a girl, I think that I would have completely fallen apart if this had happened on my Wedding day.  But not Suzanne – she was happy, smiling and relaxed, just as she had been when we first met all those months earlier. You can’t help but admire a girl with this much character.  We dodged in an out of the rain to capture portraits, hoping that the weather would at least break for the ceremony – and that’s when the miraculous happened!  Quite unexpectedly, the clouds parted and gave way to a glorious warm fall evening.  Suzanne looked beautiful as she and Ryan exchanged vows and not a dry eye was left as loved ones toasted this fabulous couple.  Friends and family enjoyed dinner and dancing late into the night.   Jay and I fell asleep with tired feet and warm hearts that night, grateful to have been able to play a part in this once in a lifetime event.

Congratulations Suzanne and Ryan – our warmest wishes and love to you for a wonderful future together.

We are the Aunt and Uncle of the bride, and were out of the country at the time of the wedding. These pictures are wonderful and gave us the feeling of the whole atmosphere. Thank you for the expressive and beautiful photos!ReplyCancel
